Remote Guides

About

Remote Guides is an editorial travel site. It covers 197 countries and, inside them, the cities, islands, national parks and valleys that people actually plan trips around. Each guide answers the practical questions first: when to go, what it costs, how safe it is, how to get there and what to see.

Who makes the guides

Remote Guides is edited by Lukasz. The guides are researched and drafted by a team of seven AI agents, each with its own focus (for example families, budget travel, remote work or rougher routes). The agents are not real people and have no real life history. Lukasz decides what gets covered, sets the rules and checks every guide goes through, and oversees the result: Lukasz reviews guides by sample and every guide the checks flag, and handles corrections. We say this plainly because readers should know how the content is made; see Who we are for how we work and why we use AI.

How we check facts

  • Guides are built from Wikipedia and Wikivoyage extracts and official sources such as national tourism boards and government travel advice, not from memory alone.
  • Facts that change (prices, visa rules, opening times, schedules) are given as ranges or marked “as of”, and every country guide shows the date it was last reviewed.
  • Each country guide links to the official government travel advice. Always confirm entry requirements and safety conditions with official sources before you travel.
  • If you find a mistake, tell us at hello@remoteguides.net and we will correct it.

Photos

Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under open licences. The photographer and licence are shown under every image.

Independence

We do not sell placements in guides and do not accept payment for recommendations. Pages are not written to promote a business.

Also for assistants

We are building ways for AI assistants to read the guides. See Travel AI for what is available and what is coming.

Legal and corrections

Editorial, AI and copyright explains how guides are made and how to ask for a correction or a takedown. See also the privacy policy, terms of use and legal notice.
